Sculpting is generally the “main” hobby I’ve got going on right now. Portrait/Figure sculpture in traditional water-based clay is my main focus, but when I was getting started I used polymer clay (Sculpey).
For my 2025 holiday party I made 20 dragons out of polymer clay, and I think they’re pretty neat. Check out the Dragon Archive here.
This is from 2022-2023 and is my attempts to follow along with random youtube tutorials or doing my own thing entirely, not realizing polymer clay was not the medium I should have been working in. Check out the Old Sculpture Archive here.
Here’s the main sculpture collection, with items displayed in reverse chronilogical order. In March of 2024 I started taking online sculpture classes and most of the earlier projects are following along with that course.
January-March, 2026. Mason, Shane and Steven. I originally intended (and still do) to make a dedicated post for each of these portraits, I recorded interviews with my friends as I sculpted them, and want(ed) to make an end-of-the-year post with each interview and sculpture. As of July 2026 I’m very much sidetracked with other things, and have put the portrait project on hold, but putting these up here as a placeholder/checkpoint.

October-November, 2024. First pass at a self portrait. I wasn’t too happy with it so these are the only pics I have. I loaded it with Haloween candy and had Mason smash it with a hammer, which was exceedingly fun.
