The gangI suppose “technically” these models are “Emperor’s Children”, a Chaos Space Marines subfaction devoted to the Chaos god Slaanesh. However, when I was playing the Warhammer video game Dawn of War, Sammy, my roomate at the time, created the neon pink custom faction he named Hot Boys. It was around that time I got my 3D printer, and it was written in the stars that I brought the Hot Boys into reality. These models are fully 3D printed, and while there do exist some .stl files that look exactly like official Warhammer models, I bought a bunch of really cool original designs online to print.
The gang
1. First model I ever 3D printed. I actually bought some hot pink spray paint to do a base coat, but it came out super thick and glossy. This model is the only one with that primer I think, and you probably can’t tell from the pictures, but thinking about using that primer again makes my skin crawl lol.

6. “Noise Marines” are a real type of unit in Warhammer, unfortunately, the official models look like they’ve got pretty normal guns. Huge thanks to all the 3rd party designers who create totally rediculous (complimentary) noise marines.

Even among my friends who I got playing miniatures games, I recognize that I was the one most into it, and theres oodles of things that no one will notice or care about other than me, which is sort of a shame but I get it. Point being, I think it is really interesting and cool that the weapons attached to the guitar, in this model and others, are Flamers and Bolters from 40k. Like, official Warhammer models have very specific design language to identify weapons as “Bolter-shaped”, and I think it’s awesome that the 3rd party designers sculpted wacky gun-guitars that fit within the game’s ecisting iconography. Like I said, I know no one else is noticing these things but me, but I wanted to bring it to your attention :)

13. The one arm failed to print properly, so the tentacle is my hasty fix for the problem via modelling clay.
14. Rules-wise, noise marines appear on the table in groups of 5 or 10, and I could only find unique parts for 8 models. To get two more pieces of plastic in the squad, I resorted to this. If its stupid and it works…
15. I think I made good use of my airbrush with these models. The pink basecoat was similarly airbrushed on the noise marines but I think the tones/shading look way more prominent here.

21.The Defiler. Certainly the largest model I ever printed, it took several rounds of printing to get it all, and bits like the tail were magnetized so they could be dissasembled for easier storage. This model is simply rediclous and I love it.
22. The top section, rooftop gunner, and main weapons are magnetized so they can rotate and so other weapons can be swapped out.
23. This Defiler model (theres some new ones out there) is the exact kind used in Dawn of War, and I remember I got all my friends hooked on it for a few weeks in college. I’m horrible at RTS games but revisting this pics makes me nostalgic. If you want to get into Dawn of War (again), hit me up.
